Philanthropy in Las Vegas

How amazing is it that a city known for it’s immoral vices has such a big, caring, giving community with a huge heart! Home to roughly two million people, Las Vegas has so many wonderful charities that truly help people in need.

I was honored to serve as the Chairman of the Epicurean Charitable Foundation for the last two years. The ECF provides full-ride hospitality and culinary college scholarships to in-need Clark County high school students that would otherwise not have the resources to attend college. Not only do we send these great young adults to school, but we also pair each student up with an ECF board member to mentor them throughout their schooling.

I also sit on the board of the Nevada Blind Children’s Foundation. Sadly, Nevada is one of only two states that does not have a school or services for blind children. The NBCF provides programs for the children, but also valuable resources for their parents.

Other amazing charities in our great city that I’ve had the pleasure of supporting are:

  • Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health
  • Make-A-Wish
  • Three Square
  • Lied Discovery Children’s Museum

I encourage everyone to reach out and support these worthwhile charities with any resources—whether it’s time, talents or financial contribution.
