On Tuesday, I was in Hawaii at the Hilton Waikoloa kicking off the weeklong F.A.B. Stockholder¹s Meeting. I gave the keynote speech, addressing more than 120 owners of food suppliers and distribution companies from across the country.
My presentation, titled Building Profits Through Relationships, discussed technology in hospitality and how the two are a present-day oxymoron, as I believe nothing should supersede personal relationships to grow your business!
I also shared National Restaurant Association statistics and discussed current events such as lobbying of legislators on the implementation of the healthcare law, tax reform and the minimum wage in the hospitality industry. Understanding the impact our industry has on the economy, both locally and nationally.
